Apple Expands Tap to Pay to 5 more European Countries

Hey Payments Fanatic!

Apple just dropped some fresh news: Tap to Pay on iPhone is going live in five more European countries — Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Monaco, and Norway.

That means merchants from Oslo to Tallinn can now accept contactless payments with nothing more than an iPhone and a supporting iOS app. No extra hardware. No card reader. Just tap and go.

Big names are already plugged in: Adyen, Stripe, PayPal, SumUp, Revolut, Viva.com, and more — with Norway even bringing in BankAxept via Surfboard Payments.

With today’s rollout, Tap to Pay on iPhone is now available in 43 countries and regions worldwide. Apple’s making it clear: payments are going hardware-light, software-first, and iPhone-powered.

Cheers,

Marcel
