Stripe is giving Claude a way to spend money
Stripe Launches Treasury For AI Agents

Hey Payments Fanatic!

Your AI assistant can now do the shopping, handle payments, and even manage parts of your business finances.

Anthropic’s Claude is integrating Stripe’s Link wallet for agents and Stripe MCP, allowing users to make purchases and manage payment admin directly from the app. Need to order business cards, buy ads, or get lunch for the team? Just ask Claude. You approve the purchase, and it pays using a virtual card.

But Stripe is taking things further. With Stripe Treasury for agents, businesses can let AI agents check balances, pay invoices, transfer funds between accounts, and convert currencies — all from the tools they already use, including ChatGPT and Claude. Businesses control what agents can access and which actions require human approval.

The idea is already taking shape at Kubrio, where a solo founder uses an AI agent to monitor balances, subscriptions, failed payments, and refunds. Next, he plans to let the agent prepare transfers and contractor payments for his approval.

And Claude isn’t the only one. Stripe says Link now powers payments for more than 200 personal agents, including Meta’s Muse, Grok Bot, and Instinct.

We’re moving from AI that helps you decide what to buy to AI that can actually move money for your business. The big question is how much financial responsibility you’re comfortable handing over to an agent.

Would you let AI handle your business payments?

In the meantime, here’s what else is happening in payments today👇

See you on Monday!

Cheers,

Marcel
