Stripe Treasury launches in Australia, bringing payments and money management together
Hey Payment Fanatic!
Stripe is making a pretty interesting move in Australia. Stripe Treasury is now live, giving businesses one place to accept payments, hold and convert funds, and pay recipients across nearly 100 countries.
The bigger story is that Stripe is moving beyond payments into the day-to-day movement and management of business money. Australian businesses can hold AUD, USD, GBP and EUR, convert between 10 currencies, and access incoming revenue instantly instead of waiting for settlement.
Stripe is also adding local processing for international sales, stronger fraud protection, and usage-based billing for AI businesses. So this looks less like a single product launch and more like Stripe building a broader financial operating layer for businesses.
I’ve also included a useful dLocal look at how payment habits differ across Latin America — a good reminder that going global still means understanding how people actually pay locally.
And Adyen processed €804 billion in H1 2026, while continuing to push further beyond payments.
Let’s get into today’s Payments stories. 👇
