Bre-B Prepares the Ground for September

Hey Payments Fanatic!

This Monday, July 14, Colombian banks will open Zona Bre-B, marking the first visible step in the rollout of the country’s real-time payments system.

While Bre-B’s launch has been expected for months, what’s new is how and when it will start working for merchants.

For the first time, details are out: starting today, businesses only need to register a key, such as a phone number or tax ID, and activate it through their existing payment terminals. No new devices required.

With the full rollout expected in September, Colombia's shift to instant, frictionless payments is starting to take shape.

Scroll down 👇 we’re tracking what it all adds up to and more updates on the payment scene.

Cheers,

Marcel
