Teya Wants To Own The European SMB Stack
Hey Payments Fanatic!
Teya just dropped a new payments card machine.
The European SMB-focused company unveiled its latest hardware, designed to give small businesses a more streamlined in-store payment experience.
This is part of Teya's broader push to build an all-in-one platform where merchants can handle payments, business tools, and customer engagement without juggling multiple providers.
What's worth watching here: the POS hardware space is getting more competitive by the month, and the companies winning aren't just selling terminals, but they're selling the software layer on top. Teya clearly wants to own that full stack for European SMBs.

Visa, Stripe, Mastercard, American Express, BlackRock, Coinbase and 135+ others just launched Open USD, governed by Open Standard.
The problem it solves : most stablecoins charge prohibitive minting and redemption fees at scale, and reserve revenue stays with the issuer instead of flowing back to the businesses driving adoption.
Open USD flips that model entirely :
→ Zero mint fees, zero redeem fees, no artificial volume caps.
→ Nearly all reserve yield flows back to the partners actually moving the dollars. → Independent governance through Open Standard, with a board made up of partners themselves, not controlled by a single entity.
Jack Forestell, Chief Product Officer at Visa : "Visa applies the same risk management rigor to Open USD as we do across our global network, helping build the trust needed for stablecoins to operate confidently within the financial system."
Once issuing a stablecoin becomes free, the value does not disappear. It slides down the stack, to whoever settles fastest and cheapest, to whoever owns the rails the dollars actually run on.
