Revolut Takes BLIK Beyond Poland

Hey Payments Fanatic!

BLIK is going abroad. Sort of.

Revolut has launched BLIK Global, which lets customers living outside Poland pay with BLIK.

It's open to 2.2 million Revolut customers outside Poland who have an active zΕ‚oty balance. They generate a six-digit BLIK code in the Revolut app and can use it to pay online and in shops in Poland, and to withdraw cash from Polish ATMs.

One important limit: this is about paying in Poland. It doesn't mean BLIK codes now work in shops abroad.

The audience is clear. More than 1.5 million Poles live abroad, according to estimates Revolut cites, and many still shop in Poland or travel home.

And BLIK is hard to ignore there. Revolut customers in Poland made more than 60 million BLIK payments this year, up 159%, and BLIK had 21.9 million active users at the end of September.

Which local payment method would you want to take with you abroad?

In the meantime, here's what else is happening in payments todayπŸ‘‡

See you on Monday!

Cheers,

Marcel
