Brazil’s Pix Touches Down in the US

Hey Payments Fanatic!
Just days after the US launched a formal investigation into Brazil’s digital trade practices, citing “government-developed payment systems” that clearly point to Pix, the Brazilian payment system quietly touched down on American soil.
Interesting timing, right? 🤣
That’s thanks to PagBrasil and Verifone, who joined forces to let 1.9 million Brazilian tourists a year pay in Reais while shopping in the US.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Verifone to bring International Pix to US retail,” said Ralf Germer, CEO of PagBrasil.
While Washington questions whether Pix gives Brazil an unfair edge, Pix seems to have found its own way in. Let’s see how Trump reacts when he finds out… 👀
