Visa Joins Singapore’s BLOOM to Connect Payments and Stablecoins

Hey Payment Fanatic!

Visa is getting closer to the stablecoin world — but it’s doing it through the existing payments infrastructure rather than trying to replace it.

The company has joined BLOOM, a Monetary Authority of Singapore-led initiative exploring how traditional payment systems and stablecoin rails can work together. Visa and Nium are already piloting stablecoin settlement, including the possibility of moving funds seven days a week instead of waiting for traditional business-day settlement.

That’s the part I find most interesting: this isn’t really about choosing between traditional payments and stablecoins. It’s about making the two work together while keeping the compliance and trust that financial institutions already rely on.

And once the infrastructure starts coming together, the next question is how fintechs actually turn it into growth. AppsFlyer looks at that in a conversation with Lesia Kupriienko, covering everything from stablecoin infrastructure and fraud to AI, retention, and why cheap CAC doesn’t necessarily mean better growth.

Let’s get into today’s Payments stories. 👇 See you tomorrow!

Cheers,

Marcel
