Visa Unveils New AI-Powered Payment Solutions & Initiates Major Partnership Talks in APAC

Hey Payments Fanatic!
Visa has introduced a new platform in Asia Pacific called Visa Intelligent Commerce. Announced at its Media Showcase in Singapore, the launch highlights how the company is building tools for AI-powered payments and digital commerce.
The platform gives developers APIs to integrate Visa’s payment capabilities into AI systems, and is already in early talks with Ant International, Grab, and Tencent to explore AI-led checkout experiences.
The company is also working with DCS Singapore, dtcpay, and StraitsX on stablecoin-backed cards. These let users pay with stablecoins across Visa’s network, seamlessly and without needing to manage the crypto layer themselves. So far, Visa has processed over $225 million in stablecoin settlements and plans to expand to daily settlement.
In Japan, the Flex Credential card continues to scale. The card lets users switch between debit, credit, and rewards with a single credential. With over 5 million active users and usage rates 40% above the national average, Visa plans to expand Flex to Vietnam and to small businesses across the region.
